Coligon

Coligon is a medication prescribed to individuals affected by functional bowel or irritable bowel syndrome. The active medicinal ingredient Dicyclomine Hydrochloride helps to relieve muscle spasms in the stomach and intestines. Your doctor may have prescribed Coligon for reasons other than those listed.

While taking Coligon you may experience a few side effects some side effects are: dry mouth, nausea, euphoria, increased sexual desire, decrease in alertness, pounding heartbeat, severe constipation and bloating, unable to urinate. 

It is recommended that while taking Coligon you avoid jobs or tasks that require you to be altert, also drinking may worsen certain side effects, therefore take as directed and with precaution. Avoid becoming overheated as Coligon may decrease sweat production which can lead to heat stroke. If you experience side effects other than those listed or your symptoms are worsening seek immediate medical attention.

Before taking Coligon inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant as he/she will be able to determine the risk according to your particular case. Do not breast feed while taking Coligon as it does pass into breast milk and can cause breathing problems and other severe side effects in children less than 6 months. Coligon should not be given to children under 6 months.
